Low volume on call forwarded to cell phone
« on: August 13, 2010, 08:45:39 AM »
I have a customer with a IP phone off of a 7200 v4.46d. He has his phone set to no answer forward to his cell. He said that he is having a hard time hearing the caller on his cell phone. He can hear calls directly to his cell phone fine but when they are forwarded to the cell phone he can bearly hear them. The are using POTs lines on the 7200.

The volume will always decrease each time you connect two trunks together. The only thing that I see can be done is to lower the db on the lines that are being connected. Problem with that is you never know which two are going to be used. You don't want to do that for the lines if they are being used normally.

As for the attempt to direct traffic away from this board. Well you know were this is going.

thanks for the info. I am going to try and get call transfer on the lines and use the voicemail to transfer the call.

That would be good. The hook flash and release will allow the audio to increase. The problem will be if they need it to go back the the SVMI for messaging purposes.

This customer wants the messages on his cell phone so this should work for them.
