Strange Anomally

I have a customer with a DSX (was v3.09, now 3.2).  In the middle of a call the caller would suddenly be cut off and put into voicemail.  The customer has a PRI.  This has happened on two different extensions when the caller was using the DID for the person they were talking to.  In all cases it was coming from the same cell number and speaking to the caller, he did have some problems with signal.

I am inclined to think it is the cell, but that doesn't explain the call going into VM like it does.  Has anyone seen anything like this?

This is a tough one. I personally would not be to concerned as it is only happening from one location.
I would look at SYSTEMS PROGRAM:  LINES: SETTINGS:
Program 3103 allows the flexibility to change trunk settings transmit /receive.
Version 3.0 allows you to set it a LOOP Length to Automatic.
That is where i would start.
This feature allows the Switch to look at your trunk on power up and adjust per requirement.
As far as it going to voicemail i would have to have it happen to me first.

.......or, as it is on  a DID from a PRI, it could be trying to "lock in" but sees your offhook as a busy and goes to the VM??? :022:

That is more or less the conclusion I have come to.  The call drops and the tower tries to re-establish the call, the system sees the station as busy and sends it to VM.

I'm really more inclined to believe it's the guy's cellphone.
