Nortel IP phones resetting
« on: July 19, 2010, 05:16:02 PM »
I have a customer that is running IP phones through a VPN tunnel to their BCM 400, and the phone will reset every once and a while.  All the phones a statically assigned IPs.  Has any one else ran into this problem?

Wecome Shaun,
Please elaborate on "resetting". Losing power, losing VPN connection?

They act as though you have just plugged them in.  They go through the start up procedure and start looking for the server.  They do find the server right away.  when we look at the logs on the sonic walls that the VPN runs through, and there is no evidence of the VPN loosing connection.  its very strange.
