Topic: Passport Ultra 3 TB drive

I have this 3 TB drive attached to my desktop, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make 2 drives out of it, or know where I could get the info to do that?  The reason I want to do this is that my old laptop hard drive is also attached to my desktop, but it only has 3.18 GB available out of 448 GB, so I was going to move all the info from the laptop hard drive to the 3 TB that was divided into two drives.  Any suggestions?

This sounds like an external drive which attaches to a USB port.

You will most likely have to perform an "F-disk" in order to rebuild different drive portions. What ever you know have stored on that drive will be lost.

You may also have a "recovery drive" on there that you need to preserve.

For $50 I would much rather purchase another external drive.

You can partition the drive but why would you want to do that? Why not just move all your data over to the larger drive and organize it with new folders?
