Spell check gone on Windows 10?
« on: June 12, 2021, 10:57:40 PM »
Recently, the spell check feature, where it underlines misspelled words in red is gone.  I'm pretty sure that I didn't do anything to disable it and according to an online search, all of my settings are correct.  There was mention somewhere that it failed after the last Windows upgrade.  Has anyone heard anything about this?  It's gone from any page/program used since my last upgrade.

I had an update waiting for me on Friday.  I didn't install until I was leaving the option.  I suppose I'll see tomorrow.   :032:

Unless there is a compelling reason, never, EVER, take an update.  If it ain't broke...MS will break it.

Do a restore/roll back to the point before you think you lost spell and see if it comes back. You won't lose anything you have done since the update just the update.

Well, I rolled the update back and restored the previous version and it corrected the issue with Windows-based products I am using via Office 365 features like Word, Excel and Outlook.  It still no longer exists for pretty much any kind of web page, like this one and Facebook.  I suppose that I could download Grammarly, but that comes with so much garbage attached.
