strange call pilot issue
« on: October 09, 2019, 12:22:32 PM »
New customer for me ,  customer reports sometimes call is answered directly by  EXT 222 , no other ringing .   I couldn't find anything in programming that would affect this  ,all lines where set to 4 rings and most calls are ringing and routing  as programmed
I defaulted  the Call pilot and rebuilt  everything . Customer just called and said same thing is happening , only difference is its now my voice saying " you have reached EXT 222 Accounting "  . I changed the operator extension from 200 to 206 and he says that is working ,

Customer says this has been going on, off and on since the system was installed . I think its interesting that its going to 222 again

I cant see anything in the MICS affecting it .

I think my next step is to look for a re-furbed call pilot

Check the MICS for ext 222 Call Forward No Ans / Busy.  Maybe it's set to 1 ring or similar.

Also look at DRT programming. Might need to turn it off.

In the Norstar/BCM if no sets are programmed to ring (only using the CP AA)  DRT kicks in immediately.

Just to add to what I wrote.

If DRT is in effect and the Prime set has Fwd Busy set to VM, the call will go to the Prime set VM immediately.

I  disabled DRT

Call Forward Busy / No answer on 222 where set to 4 rings

I found a unused port and moved the user there .  I removed all line access from 222 for now so We'll see what happens it was a interment issue so no way to test . Time will tell

thanks for the suggestions
