Interesting analogy, Bobby.
I think from a consumer standpoint few would disagree with you. From a business owner standpoint that might differ, kind of like you get to choose what magazines you sell in your convenience store, or what kind of food you serve in your restaraunt.
Maybe Moe has strongly held beliefs, so in his house he has his router set to block pornography. If Shemp comes over and uses Moe's wifi, he can't get to barnyardcheerleaders.net. To take it on step further, Curly grew up in the same house with Moe, and his owns an ISP. He has strongly held beliefs, so he doesn't allow access to pron on his system. Larry on the other hand sees a capitalistic opportunity to allow access to every site for the same price as Curly, so me and the rest of the Stooges sign up with Larry.
We set firewalls in client offices to allow no access at all to the internet other than business related sites to cut down on employee theft of time. Some people would cry about that as well.
Personally, as I referenced above, as a consumer I agree with you that it's a win for us as my companies would have to pay for the all you can eat, whatever you want plan which would cost more. I say that as even if Larry opened the gates, somewhere upline we'd run into Level 3 who isn't going to miss an opportunity to make a buck or sell crap service.
