KX-TVA50 voice mail memory at 80% capacity
« on: July 10, 2018, 08:44:07 PM »
I've encountered two of these voice mail systems of the many that we are supporting where the customer claims that they either receive a call indicating that the system's capacity is at 80% or in extreme instances, they can't record or change greetings, take messages, etc.  One that I found was definitely hacked and a number from the Philippines was entered for notification.  I cleaned all of that mess up, but when I look at a memory report, it still shows no memory available.  I was able to make the customers delete all of their saved messages, which made a little bit of room to allow for a greeting change, but even that was tight.

Is there a utility where I can go to dump garbage files, like error logs, etc?  I was thrown to the wolves on these things with my new job and I don't have a clue.

Ed, there is a utility tab on the top tool bar of the programming menu.

I believe Pana knew they had a memory problem that's why they came out with a
4 Hr. expansion card for systems that get a great deal of use.
You may want to sell these customers a KX-TVA 524 card.
I automatically include it on any TVA50 over 2 ports.
