Avaya lost credibility with me starting back when they screwed with the ACS R6 in an effort to change the DST schedule. They couldn't even get that right then they come out with the R7 that had major bug after major bug. Evey time they fixed one bug they caused another. It's as if all the original developers and programmers that designed the Partner were gone. I'm willing to bet Avaya farmed out the engineering for the changes offshore and whoever that was had no idea how the old code was written. But what gets me is how Avaya sold a product with the major problems that the R6 and R7 had. They HAD to know but all they cared about was generating revenue and to hell with the customer. Then again it's obvious that Avaya only wants to sell to idiots because their sales model pretty much ignores anybody that knows anything about telecom. That's how they figure they can get away with the crap they pull. It's more profitable to sell to lots of one time buyers than to the likes of dealers who they can't BS with crap product.

So once again we are on the receiving end of Avaya greed. Eliminate the Partner and give them a watered down piss poor excuse for a migration path and hope the idiots will bite. IMO Avaya has lost sight of their core product. I go to their site and I have no friggin idea what they are selling with all the junk they are into. What the hell is Aura? I'm thinking that they should sell off the Partner/CM/IPO portion of the business to someone who gives a damn. Then Avaya can concentrate on their IT crap and be like Cisco since it looks like that's what they want.

Boy I hate to say this but Hal is right again.
We've stoped selling Partner IP Office because of the VM. It has some other problems like most new releases, but they seem to make it clear that the VM is what it is.
IP Office is now solid and that's the way to go.
