Downloading IE 11
« on: May 18, 2016, 02:15:17 PM »
Has anyone had problems upgrading to IE 11 from IE 8?

I have installed Win7 Pro, form original disk, on 3 machines.   A new install of Win7 Pro loads IE 8.   Trying to download IE 11 will lock up the browser.

I have to install Firefox on the new machine and download IE 11 from Firefox!   :023:

Okay, I'll be the one to ask... Why are you using IE?

IE11 works on Win 7 just fine even though it is designed for Win 10.   IE 11 is also a "critical update" in Win 7!

This onlyoccurs when installing Win7 for the first time.  Win7 install is equiped with IE8.

Upgrading from IE10 to IE11 is no problem.

Once installed Win7 and IE11 work well together.

Some software is only supported on IE
