OfficeServ 7200 hearing beeps during calls
« on: May 18, 2016, 12:01:30 PM »
We have an OfficeServ 7200 system, and several of my users are reported that they have started hearing beeps randomly during calls. They say they hear a beep followed by a lighter beep, and it repeats every 30 seconds or so for a while and then stops. The customer on the other end does not hear the beeps.

I have no idea where to start looking for this. We really don't use much of the capability of the system.

Hi Pcbliss, and welcome to the board.

I'm not one of the Samsung techs, so I'm afraid I might not be much help, but maybe I can ask you a few questions that will help us get to the bottom of things.  I may have heard the type tone your referencing, but I can't quite remember from where.  Is it like the two tones are connected, as in "t o n e-beep?"

Also, what kind of lines are being used?  Are they POTS, SIP, are they coming across an IAD?

Is this heard on all lines or just specific ones?

Is this heard from all extensions on the system?

Maybe this will get us started.

Thanks for the question.
