TA624 "Receptionist Station" programming
« on: May 02, 2016, 12:39:41 AM »
Hello all!  I'm trying to set up my old TA-624 so that incoming calls only ring one station, ie a "receptionist", so that the rest of the phones don't ring unless a call is transferred to them. The phones are mostly 7030 and 7130.  First, is there a better term for this? Second, is this possible with this unit, and third if so, how?  Thanks so much in advance!

In your manual, try Ringing.  Flexible ringing can be the start where you turn OFF all ringing first, then add back Jack 01.

If might be a good thing to check out DELAYED ringing, just in case something happens or they can't hear the receptionists phone.

GTarantola, welcome to our board.
As CN pointed out this will be done through "Flexible Ringing Assignment" page 4-68 in the programming manual.
We have to make some assumptions here, that you have the manual and you are familure with programming.
Use the * as a wild card and set all CO lines and all stations to disable.
Then go back in and assign your attendant's station, usually 101 to enable.
