Extension programming disappears
« on: April 26, 2016, 10:46:08 PM »
We have been ESI resellers since 1998 and just installed an ESI-200 with DLC12/D12/D12/612/612/A12 and 48D and 11A extensions.  Installation was uneventful.  All stations ring as programmed in our ACD departments.  The following day we noticed the ACD button programming had reverted to their default positions on the second page of the 60D display.  Extensions were programmed again plus most users programmed each button for what they needed.  Within an hour all the programming on all the phones had disappeared and the ACD buttons had reverted to their default positions once again.  A third programming lasted less than 20 minutes.
We have never experienced this issue on any model nor has ESI tech support ever heard of this issue.  Has anyone else ran into the same problem and were you able to resolve without changing cabinet parts?
Thank you in advance for any comments.

Hi and thanks for the post.

Unfortunately since I'm not an ESI guy and since you've been doing this for years, most of what I would have to offer you've probably already done.  That said, I just wanted to welcome you to the board and let you know that the good news is John Grider is our ESI guru and if anyone can help you, he's likely the guy.  I know he's busy with some pet projects, but he does check in often.

Answering your question first, I have never dealt with such an issue or know anyone else that has.

Are the 60D's the only units losing their button mapping? I would suspect corrupt software in the drive module of the 200.

Wish I had more to help with. Large sales that get egg on your face are real bummers.

I know this is an old thread, however, I did not see any relevant answers. The short answer is you need to make sure your CF is OK. Some CF have problems. ESI diddled around with SanDisk for awhile, but have landed on Apacer Industrial for most systems shipped. If you have a SanDisk CF, order a new CF from ESI and back-up and restore to the Apacer.

If you have not figured it out yet, ESI technical has NEVER heard of the problem. It's probably due to liability. Change the CF.
