I have a customer that uses a computer to call customer and let them know they have a delivery scheduled the next day

"our truck will be out to you between 10 and 12 tomorrow morning "

Ive given them a few analog ports and the calls are made starting at line 8 and moving up .

problem is their customer tries to return call with line 8 , 7 etc

I tell the customer , " call verizon tell them to have your main number show up on all lines as CID , problem solved  "

Verizon says they cant do this because  of domestic abuse laws ...HUH ????

I've got a lot of customers  that they have done this for

I'm thinking maybe we need to ask for something particular?

what should we be asking verizon for ?

I could not get them to do it here.

I guess in other locations they have may have had PRI's  I usually  just tell the customer to call the carrier and set it up

the domestic violence thing made no sense, all the lines are billed to the address and terminate there so any tracing would lead back to the customer what difference would it make if it originated from line one or line 6

I agree......I don't believe there is anyone still employed by them who knows anything about this industry.  If it's not in their script, it doesn't exist!

This has been a big problem with return call using CID.  In the reverse I have customers with PRI who do not want the LDN sent for caller ID.  They want the individual DID sent. It can be done with the correct PRI and product. Samsung can do this and I'm sure most other products can too.

Haven't seen it in a new install in a while but down here you could get the main number on the first loop start line with caller ID and then the successive numbers in hunt group after them were terminals. The RJ-21x would read like 226-3232, T001, T002, T003, etc. All would take in  and out traffic but only put out CID of the first line. SW Bell did this for years but not sure if it is supported any longer. I'd ask if the can do a terminals solution and listen to the crickets on the other end... :011:

Caller ID of the pilot number on all lines is standard up here for carriers.

................and that's the way it should be.  I don't know why that is so damn difficult here!

One more reason to move north!   :011: :066:

Just last week with AT&T (existing contract, don't ask) we did this for a financial planning client of ours. I seriously don't understand the issue anywhere else. As long as the other numbers are on the same bill as the BTn, then there shouldn't be any issues.
Thanks,

It does make our work harder in identifying lines if the CI is the same for all lines. Unless you have the carrier's ANIC number.
