Call accounting on Call Manager
« on: May 14, 2010, 07:30:48 PM »
How does the Call Manager provide SMDR records? I have a customer that just bought a Cisco solution and needs to have a call accounting package with a "more feature rich" solution than the default package they were provided with at purchase. I am being asked to find a solution that will provide the graphs and stats that their old Comdial/Trivium platform had. Any ideas?

Hi Dave,

Sorry for the late reply, I'll throw Larry under the bus since I didn't know the Cisco section went live until today. :-)

With CallManager 5 and later, the CDR records are generated as flat files on each CCM node, and then moved to a shared repository on the Publisher. Then, the CAR scheduler runs (by default in the middle of the night) to process the flat files and populate the CAR database.

So, you have 2 options:
A) Process the flat CDR records with a third party application
B) Use the default Cisco CAR database

Take a look at @Comm Corporation:http://www.atcomm.com

Also use the follow link to do a search on all the supported 3rd party apps:

IP Communications Application Search Engine:
http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/IPCApps?page=Application_Search

I hope this helps!

Brian

I know nothing about Cisco Telephony/UC/Voice products. Open a case with Cisco TAC if you need assistance:
