ESI Bluetooth Headset Interface
« on: April 30, 2014, 02:44:10 PM »
I recently purchased an ESI Bluetooth Headset Interface for testing and just goofing around with. Documentation says it will work with "ESI 48-Key Feature Phone (Digital or IP Feature Phone II)" but that does not appear to be the case. I did manage to get it to work on a digital phone but when I tried to plug it up to an IP Feature Phone 2 I get nothing on the Bluetooth interface, it is just dead.

We do not currently have PoE switches so are using various injectors around the office the one I have been testing on is a TrendNET TPE-105I.

Welcome weregonnadie :001:

Tell me about power to the bluetooth when it worked on the digital. Is it self powered by an independent power supply?

The Bluetooth interface was ditched some time ago by ESI.
Not sure why, seemed like a good idea to me.

After a minor amount of research I discover this. For bluetooth pairing the ESI system needs a certain level of software and I downloaded a pdf manual to use for correctly installing. I can't publicly share the manual but I can refer to it to be of assistance.

Let me know... :001:
