Triad CID
« on: February 06, 2014, 04:47:05 PM »
New customer with a two cabinet Triad . they have CID on 3 lines and are trying to add it on a fourth . It appears CID is being handled by the add on module pictured below .

the first three lines are being feed from the main board and it appears to have two daughter boards . I cant get CID from either . I can swap lines 3 and 4 and CID still comes in on 3 but not 4 so I assume my line settings are ok .

I notice the device has a serial cable port marked "in " is there some programing I need to do to that unit or is there some system programming Im missing ?

I found the users guide online so it looks like a bad daughter board as I suspected

if anyone has one they would like to sell I will run it by the customer

Skip, give me a call tomorrow morning after 10:00 on 540-735-2288.  I doubt that the daughter boards are bad.  Those things don't normally fail, certainly not two of them in the same installation.  I'm guessing that we may need to just address some programming areas.  It shouldn't take us but a few minutes to figure it out.

Wow, that is a first for me.  I've never seen those things fail.  I guess we all learn something new every day.  Wish that I could have really helped.  Thanks for letting us know how you made out.
