Hello,
I am having an issue with incoming caller ID on one of my CO lines. The line is through the cable company on a Arris touchstone modem. I have not had any issues with caller ID using a regular telephone set.
I have 3 other CO lines with caller ID that have no issues. 1 Verizon POTS and 2 VOIP.
I had the line originally as CO 3, the caller ID is intermittent, it comes in for a while and then stops displaying caller ID and just shows CO 3. I swapped out the Arris modem and the issue was still there. I added a 3X8 board and moved the caller ID board and the line to CO6, issue is still there, will show caller id a couple of times and then shows CO6. Ordered a new caller ID card and installed it in the slot for CO 6, still having issues.
Two other issues noted, if I power cycle the unit the caller ID will start working again and then eventually stop. I had the system programmed to adjust the time to the 1st caller ID time stamp of the day, the time would then jump ahead about 6 hours and stay there. I would reset the time and then it would be off again the next day. I eventually turned the that setting off to keep the time correct.
Anyone see anything like this one. Could it be a setting that needs to be adjusted in the programming. I have ruled out the CO jack, the caller ID board, and the modem. The only other choices are the cable company or the programming of the unit.
Ideas and suggestions are appreciated.
Mike
