Analog port on OS100R2 half ring
« on: May 20, 2010, 02:25:38 PM »
OS100R2, 2.76b s/w.
Cabinets are full, have an issue with an analog extension which is in an adjacent building fed by underground copper cable.
Analog port is on a fax machine, PRI - DID.

Problem is incoming calls sometimes ring normally, sometimes the port sends a half ring then no more rings.  The caller still hears ring back, and if you go off hook on the fax machine, you answer the call.  So the ring generator seems to drop off line.  Sometimes it works 100%, then another call right after and it does the half ring.
Things i've tried:
1. Moved the line off the 8SLI onto the 2SLI
2. Moved the line to a different pair in the underground tie cable
3. Reboot KSU

I have a call into samsung now, but wondered if anyone else has seen this.
