Voicemail LEDs are lit red
« on: January 10, 2013, 09:50:25 AM »
Customer has an IP Iwatsu with a four port card voicemail card and all four ports are showing busy/ locked up. No one can get the voicemail: internal or external (the voicemail is down completely).

Technician could not log in into the system with a computer.

There are were multiple brown-outs/power outages during school break and was this way when they returned.

Is the VM card fried or is there a way to reset the ports through the phone  to get the voicemail back up?

I'm assuming you rebooted the phone system.  This will, by extension, also reboot the onboard voicemail card.  From the sounds of it, though, I believe you are fighting a losing battle.  Brown-outs are the worst thing out there for electronic equipment and it sounds like a new card may be in order.  If you cannot connect to it via PC, then you won't be able to connect to it through the phones.  I strongly suggest getting the phone system on some kind of battery back-up to help protect against these kind of instances.

Wish I had better news.  Good luck!
