My name is Richard Cherry. My current position is lead systems engineer focusing on Mitel 3300 solutions for the hospitality industry. My employer, Pinnacle Communications, Inc., has been in business for 30 years and is the leading vendor for PBX, CCTV, DirectTV, and Cisco Meraki HSIA access installations for Marriott. Hilton. and IHG hotels. We have our own hosted PBX brand, the ComXchange hosted PBX that we are deploying for customer properties seeking a hosted solution.
My position Is 100% travel. I fly out every Monday to a new city and new property. Sometimes I perform just the PBX install, sometimes I also install the NVR's and CCTV gear. I am crosstraining to learn the HSIA and DirectTV products as well. Our corporate office is located in Germantown, Maryland. We cover all 50 states and we have properties in the U.S Virgin Islands. We are a medium size company with over 100 employees and we have 5 satellite offices throughout the U.S. We have over 500,000 hotel room phones under montly maintenance, nearly 60,000 hosted connections connected to our data centers, and close to 50,000 PBX installs. Our cabling teams have install almost 20,000 miles of structured cabling and fiber for the hospitality industry. We mostly perform work for the private sector, but we are also a preferred vendor for the U.S. Army and perform work at hotel properties located on U.S Miltary bases throughout the country.
I really enjoy traveling to new cities each week and taking photographs of landscapes, sunrises, and sunsets. In my spare time, whatever that is, I like to go camping, boating, and playing the guitar. I enjoy spending time with my family as much as possible, and meeting new people.
