DSX Systems
« on: October 22, 2012, 07:38:49 PM »
About the time this board  started there was a meeting of Mods from the other board where this system was well introduced along with a couple of other systems.

How has this system worked out for the folks here?  Other new NEC products?

I've been supporting one with the help of Skip and Don (ttech) and I'm impressed with the system.  :054:

I've been putting them in since they were the DS1000/2000.  They are extremely flexible and quite reliable.  The Intramail flash cards seem to be what will go first, but that's few and far between.  Technical Support is some of the best I've ever worked with.  Aside from being accessible and actually helpful, they are also very responsive to the requests of their installers; therefore, the DSX software is constantly improving.

I've 6 of them in now (thanks to the help from Stacy & Don) and I love them, easy & they work great! The only problems I have had were caused by me in learning the programming.

I would like to report my success with the DSX. We picked up the DSX product line soon after its first concept.
Excellent product, easy to install and maintain.

We have installed over 50 systems, with the line up of the 40's,80's and the 160.

It has been the only product we have installed the past five years.

I think we should also post the user guides here as well.   :054:

Thanks Skip.  Larry, the DET user guides are readily available, not sure I know how to post them, if you want I'll send it to you. It's really only one guide and really well prepared and short.

Great to get this feedback, as I was just turned on to the NEC DSX system today as a possible solution for our small clients. I will keep you updated, if we end up going with them.
Thanks,

I just installed my 7th one and find it to be a sweet little system. For me, its my secondary product line and sometimes I think perhaps it should be my primary one. My only problem is that since I don't install them regularly, I always have to brush up on my installing and training.

old thread, but figured we could keep this thought going

Installed our first one 06/04/13 for a small manufacturing company and haven't heard a peep from the client. It was as basic as it gets though with 1 CO line, 4 22-key phones and a Valcom 1020 for their shop.

Just ordered our 2nd one which is set to arrive Monday and install Wednesday. 5 34-key phones, 4 CO lines and a 2 port IntraMail

From the reading I've done, the IntraMail install seems pretty straight forward... anyone have advice to the contrary, or any tips?
Thanks,
Tony Burkhart
