Iwatsu Comm Cable
«

I am trying to get our Cash+ call accounting software working and am having issues getting the communication up between the PC and the Iwatsu. Is the DB-9 to RJ45 cable proprietary Iwatsu stuff or should any RS-232 cable work?

The programming cable is proprietary so I'll bet the SMDR cable will be the same. Hopefully our Iwatsu experts will have a chance to post in a little while and correct me if necessary.

The SMDR hood is proprietary.

What do you mean by "hood?" Is there a one-piece cable for the EDVIF card or do I buy a adapter for the comm port on the PC and just run a straight-through ethernet cable to it?

If I could find the pin-out somewhere I could simply make one...

The quickest and easiest solution would be to get a cable from the installing company.
It will be lest expensive than piecing one together, your time has value.
