Topic: Mics 6.1 passing DTMF

Will the Mics 6.1 or higher pass dtmf while on an intercom call or a CO call from a CO set for ring only
that comes to a set over the intercom key? I need to pass the * and # keys.
All I see in the book is "long tones".

Intercom to intercom - it will not pass DTMF unless you turn on Long Tone.

Any CO call will pass DTMF even if it comes in/out on your Intercom.
But no matter how long you hold down the button it will pass a short tone.
If you turn on LONG TONES then it will pass DTMF for as long as you hold the button down.

Once you hang up, long tones is off again.

Yes it should - to the phone  * and #  are just another "number".

Remember this:
Normal is Short tone.  
No matter how long or how quickly you hit the digit, it puts out the same length of tone.

When you turn on Long Tones and hit a digit quickly, you can
actually send out a shorter tone than the Short tone would.

So don't punch the keys too quickly if in Long Tones.
