PRI DID forward question
« on: May 22, 2012, 08:05:50 AM »
Customer has PRI with DID's  I will be forwarding a DID to a POTS line at a remote location . Can the CLEC watch the forwarded line and then forward it to a another number  on Busy/RNA ?

the customer has remote sales office with a couple of lines and what I would like to accomplish is to have the DID forward out to the POTS line (probably cable co DT ) then if busy RNA forward to a DID at the main office that I can set up to go direct to VM at the corporate office .

Since you'll have to forward the DID off or your switch, the CLEC will have any control over it.  Perhaps you can get the POTS lines to busy-forward back to another DID which will go to the VM at the corp office.

This would be a good application for a VoIP phone.  Up-sell Skip!

Its not uncommon to see customers move away from VOIP back to TDM. Problem i find is usually the installing company of the VOIP system. It's very often IT people.
Take a win back any time.

i dont see why that wont work, though you may need multiple call paths at the remote location. SO instead of having the lec do a call fwd busty with 1 path..maybe do 3
