Networked 7200....Calls drop after 30 min
« on: May 18, 2012, 01:48:52 PM »
I have two 7200's ver 4.46d - Site A has a MCP and Site B has a MP20 - that is the only difference.  Call comes into Site A hits AA - call gets transferred to a digital phone at site b, after 30 minutes the call will drop. All you see is "CO HUNG UP" on display. These systems are on a MPLS.  I do not get drop calls when a call gets transferred from site b to a. I also conducted an internal call from site b to a and the call never dropped. Any ideas?  Thanks.

It's been almost a year since I spent much time with Samsung products, but I believe this might be the CO-CO timer. The timer was originally used to prevent two CO lines from hanging if a transferred call is dropped and one of the lines don't disconnect.

I had this condition on another product. I had to extend my trunk to trunk conference timer. I hope this gives you some clues.

Didn't they fix this in 4.42? Check *** CO-CO TM ALL should be OFF by default, which tells the timer not to effect SPNET calls.

Edit: Oops thought this was in the installers section, you should be able to search the manual to find that mmc for the setting.

CO-CO TM ALL was off in the site A switch. However the CO-CO Disconnect Timer was set to 30 min and that was the culprit.  Thanks again guys for the help.

Ironhedz,

I have a similar scenario:

Two 7200's ver 4.22 - Both sites have an MCP.  Call comes into Site A hits AA - but calls for appointment group gets transferred to a UCD group controlled in Site A, but the UCD group's phones are (4) VOIP phones connected via MPLS residing in Site B. After 20 minutes the call will drop. All you see is "CO HUNG UP" on display.

I checked Site A CO-CO TM ALL which was off.  CO-CO Disconnect Timer as set to 20 minutes and I changed that to 250 minutes. But, occasionally, we still get "CO HUNG UP" on the (4) VOIP phones in UCD group at Site B, but connected VIA MPLS to site A.

Was ver 4.22 buggy or will "CO HUNG UP" occur on a transferred call to a VOIP phone if the MPLS circuit is inconsistent?

Did you change the timer in BOTH systems?

Also... issues with the MPLS will cause issue with networked systems.

Marc,

No, I did not change the timer yet at Site B because the four VOIP phones in the UCD group reside in Site B but are extensions off of Site A.

I will go ahead and do that to be sure that both sites are the same.

Thanks,
