9508 issue...
« on: January 09, 2012, 10:49:35 PM »
This is the description the problem as described by my customer...

"When answering a call by picking up handset the caller will also be heard on the speaker.  Caller will not be at full volume but a reduced amount.  Caller will also hear other conversations in the room as if they were on a speakerphone call. If any key is touched on phone the speaker will drop out and call will proceed as normal."

I have experienced this once at our office and the description is spot on. The customer has 5 locations in a SCN and about 95 of the 9508 phones. This complicates the the issue times 5. I believe his systems and our office is running R7 (05) on a V2 chassis. Any thoughts?

Todd, i think this may be a spreading issue, so i would get a ticket opened with the disty and tier3.

I have heard of a few others with the same issue.

That is good to know. I will get in contact with my distributor about opening a ticket. I had been putting this off because the customer is getting ready to switch from POTS to a PRI. I thought maybe the Combo cards may be contributing to the issue since I have heard of others having issues with the combo cards. I have had very good luck with them though.
