ECS Security Manager
« on: October 03, 2011, 01:38:58 PM »
I have several customers who use the Security Manager in the ECS programmer.  This allows customers to have a login that does not allow them access to all the programming that an installer has.  Several customers have switched to Windows 7 machines, and the Security Manager does not work.  I am pretty sure it is a Windows 7 issue but I cannot find anyone who can tell me how to fix it.  Any suggestions?

Have you tried running Windows 7 in the XP compatability mode?

No, but the IT person at one company said he may try that although it is not ideal.  ICON(Iwatsu) tech support says it works with windows 7, but offers no solutions if it does not work.  I am currently working on getting access to a W7 machine so that I can do some further testing myself.  Someone suggested maybe it is a W7 firewall issue but I have not been able to confirm that.
