I actually already have a couple of guys working for me part time. Working is more or less my way of dealing with the pending loss of my dad and other stress. I don't stress, I work, got to keep busy.

Hi Stein, and welcome to the board!

I apologize for the edit, but part of the command string was outside what is normally allowed out in the open area.  The reason is that a non-tech employee could really damage a system trying to run things from a command line.

The bad news is that as you found that file does not play well with wildcards.  The good news is that with an IT background you can understand what I'm about to share and create a custom batch pretty easily.  Again we stay pretty generic in the public areas, but if you'll take the folder with all your files, go out to the CLI, run a directory listing, copy that to your text editor, save the file, then open it using some delimiters in Excel, you'll quickly see how easily you can turn that into a custom script that you can in turn put back into a text editor and create your batch.

Would it be possible to get the conversion tool and any associated documentation?  We are currently using a much older Inter-tel system and are (finally) upgrading to a new Avaya system.  I'd prefer to reuse our existing recordings if at all possible rather than have everything voiced again.  I've exported the recordings and they have a .r32 extension.  I do see by an older post in this thread that someone was able to use the conversion tool on this file format.  I don't mind if it's GUI or CLI, and I can do them individually or batched - I'm flexible, I'll just be happy that I can salvage the recordings!

When we migrate to the system I will export the mailbox information from our system, so this conversion tool will help me convert those .r24 files as well.

Hi Denise:

I'm sorry but the software is a professional grade tool and there are copyright concerns.  Additionaly it runs from the CLI and there is no documentation.  In fact where multiple files are involved our techs have to write a custom script to handle the process as the software doesn't support the use of wildcards.  If you would like to contract the job to a tech I can try to put you in touch with someone.

Thank you for responding.  I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand.  The original post was by someone looking to do something similar - convert .r24 files from an Inter-Tel system.  And another person was looking to convert .r32 files and was successful with this tool that you have responded & provided people with.  I posted because I have the same issue, and a google search led me to this forum and based on previous posts it looks like you had a solution.  I'm not sure I am understanding the copyright concerns or how my request is any different than the others?  Please help me understand what I am missing.  Feel free to PM me.

I'm sorry Denise.  One of the other Administrators just brought to my attention that we probably need to clean this thread. 

It is a tech level procedure, but in the past depending on the experience level of the person asking we did walk some I.T. techs through it.  Since then, however, an issue was brought up and we can no longer share the files.  Unfortunately with Inter-Tel now being effectively gone there seems to be no way for the techs to even purchase it anymore.
