Hello,

I'm getting rid of our old Axxess switch and need to get some messages off the EM box.   I'm hoping someone can shoot me the tool.

Thank you!

PLEASE READ IF YOU'RE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE WITH CONVERSIONS

If you're needing more information on the conversion tools, or how to make them work please post in this thread before trying to contact me by PM.  That way if I'm out of pocket one of the other techs can either reply in this thread, or contact you privately if the solution warrants it.  Unfortunately if you try to conact me directly, they have no way of knowing you need assistance.

Thanks.  :054:

Hey Jeremyl:

Mac said we had someone in the forum that needed help with the conversion tool, but according to his post above, it looks like he's already sent it to you.  If you've having issues or didn't get it, post back and I'll see if I can help.

We are preparing to rebuild our voicemail system and are needing the conversion tool to convert .r24 to wav.  Is this tool still available and if so can I get a copy of it?

Hi Clay.  Welcome to the board.

The converstion tool runs from the command line, so you will need some DOS skills.  Also it does nothing to isolate the files you're wanting.  What I mean is that you will need to identify all the R24 files you need and move them to an area to be converted.  Is this the type thing you're comfortable doing?

We have a copy on the server here at the office, but I can't seem to locate it.  I just called Mac to see where it is.  He is out of the office in a meeting, but I'm sure I'll hear back from him before lunch.

Yes, I feel comfortable doing that I am very familiar with DOS.   I already have the r24 files copied over for the conversion.

Good Morning,

I have a user that wants one of her VM saved off. It is in the R24 format. I am TOO familiar with DOS commands (dating myself).

May I please have the converter.

Thanks

Hi Carl:

Welcome to the board.

Actually for your situation I've got a tool that will be a good fit for you and will actually work from a GUI.  I'll change the file name from a .exe to a .ex_ and we'll see if your email box will allow you to receive it. :054:

Sorry MacGyver

I just read your note about sending PM's

Would it be possible to have a copy of the conversion tool as I need to convert r24 and r32 files?

Thanks in advance

Hi Hans:

Welcome to the board.  Mac is out, so I thought I'd respond.

I'm not sure if the tool will covert r32 files.  I've never heard of that being requested before.

There are some different tools we use.  What is your goal?  Are you converting an individual file to wav, trying to convert a batch, or are you trying to create r24 files, etc?

Thanks for your quick reply

Batch conversion would be ideal so some sort of command line tool would be the best.
The r32 files are not important so as long as it can convert r24 from an old Axxess it will be fine.

I think I got you fixed up Hans.  I just sent you a command line tool that will do batches.  You'll need some DOS skills, but since you asked for a CLI tool and looking at your profile I assume you have those.  :066:

Let us know if you have any issues and one of us will try to help. :054:

Many thanks

The tool can also handle my .r32 files so everything sorted.
The script to loop throgh the files was the easy part :-)

Hope I can be of any help another time.
