CICS Delayed Caller ID
« on: February 11, 2011, 09:27:30 AM »
All,

I am working on a CICS and they just had us install a CID card.

The front phone is fine, when I have a phone set up as "appear and ring" all is good.

However, this system has the calls overflow to a Hunt Group after a couple of rings and those phones are not getting CID when they start to ring.

Is there a way to make this happen, or should I just take my toys and go home?

Go Home, have beer. CI can only be displayed automatically on lines that ring directly to the DN or transfered. If the line doesn't ring then you can't program auto display. Use F811 before answering the HG calls. The engineers didn't think of this scenerio.

Went out there today, (they were getting ready to tell me to take the card back prior to today's visit).

I did some testing and then put a Call Information (F811) button on the phones and they were extremely pleased.

Once again you are the man Marv!
