IPO Phone managere Win 7 issue
« on: February 09, 2011, 09:08:40 AM »
The customer replaced the receptionist  computer and Phone manger didn't copy to the new one so I went to install it . I got a error message saying something like "software didn't properly install , please use a version compatible with this version of windows "

I was attempting to install 4.1 manger because that's what the IPO software is will a newer release work ?

have any of you run into this ?

solution , work around ?

its a windows 7 enterprise edition PC

Skip, i've done this with Win 7 and I don't remember any problems. My office runs Win 7 and things work ok.  Can you call tech support to help? I think is a pc problem that can be corrected not a Win 7 problem.

We are at 8.1 I believe now. Just download and try to install that then see if it works with your system- I believe it will. If not it cost you nothing except a few minutes of your time.

Download the new version from IPofficeinfo.com (or avaya.com)

The older releases were not supported on Win7, but the newer ones are.

Thanks ,I'll give that a try . I had issues programing using 6.1 and I had to drop back to 4.2 to get it to work so I was thinking Phone manger might be the same I'll give it a try tomorrow with the new release
