We have a client experiencing tons of intermittent problems with TWC telephony modem and faxes. TWC support now states that their modem ONLY operates on 9600 baud (false) and that error correction must be turned on for the client fax operation.
BS.
It worked fine in AT&T POTS for years.
Mostly venting... but any suggestions?

Had similiar problems, replaced modem and worked fine.

Replace the TWC Modem with an aftermarket one.
TWC Telephony modem and POTS are not the same. Just because it worked on a POTS's line doesn't mean it will work through that modem.
You might get it to to work sometimes at whatever baud rate you are setting it at, but if they say it only works at 9600 baud they could just mean it only works reliability at 9600 baud and nothing higher

It is not out of the ordinary to slow down faxes over VoIP and disable ECM
