Title: Windows Unused Icons Message
Post by: CMDL_GUY on September 10, 2014, 08:41:10 AM
Is there a way to disable the "unused icons" balloon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.  This is in every version of windows and I'm tired of all these damn balloons popping up with; "you have used icons"   or "your PC may be at risk"

I did stop a lot of the messages using the control panel, system and security options.

Right click on the desktop > Properties > Desktop Tab > Customize Desktop Button > Uncheck the box for Desktop Cleanup.  Different versions will likley be a little different.  Can't remember for sure what the direct path is in 7.
