I am not impressed with their stuff for the most part.  Not any better than most other manufacturers.  Their 66M1-50 blocks are very flimsy.  Suttle products seem to be much better, and since most telcos buy their products, I let them be the Guinea Pigs.  Adherence to the original Bell specs are still maintained with Suttle, but not with most other manufacturers.  I don't mind paying a little more for quality and I've found that Siemon is on the low end with that regard.

Oh, and just for clarification:

Siemon is the manufacturer of jacks, blocks, patch panels, etc., located in Connecticut.

Siemens is the worldwide manufacturer of systems, components and electrical hardware.

Sorry, but when I see "Siemons", it is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Well, we all know me with regard to detail, don't we?

Thanks for the clarification, Ed. I had a customer spec  Siemon for an upcoming project, and I wanted to get some feedback.

Thanks, Pal. :008:

Rich -

When I was at the Bank, Siemon was all we used. I literally put tens of thousands of their jacks in (well not personally - but as the boss I take credit :066:) and had very good luck with them.

Now it's been a few years since the Bank so my info isn't current, but they were a nice, family owned business with a good reliable product line.

Rich, I wouldn't be afraid of using their stuff by any means.  Their jacks are actually pretty nice, but a bit more expensive than the mainstream brands.  Their 110 products are good too, but I'm not impressed with their 66 blocks at all.  One other thing that is good with Siemon is that just about all suppliers stock their products, so you'll have some flexibility when shopping.
