We're hearing we may all be shut down by Monday.  IDK.  Why is the National Guard being called up?  What exactly are they to do?  Stop interstate travel?

I suspect that they are going to have their hands full. I can tell you that people aren't going to tolerate something open ended like that. There is a reason everybody was stocking up on ammo. This just gets worse every day.

In Florida, they have some of the National Guard doing virus testing. On a side note, my middle son is currently in AIT in San Antonio for Combat Medic Specialist training. His National Guard unit is already deployed to South Florida.

‘We Are All in Quarantine:’ 100% of NY Work Force Must Stay Home, 5K Infected in NYC

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the rate of infection spread is double hospitals' capacity and triple ICU units' capacity; the state needs to acquire thousands of ventilators to help the critically ill breathe before the outbreak overwhelms hospitals and there are simply none left

If I heard correctly, this now applies to California as well!

My doctor's office will only see people in the parking lot.  I'm sick, but not sick enough.  I have a fever, but it's not high enough.  They don't want to see me.  I'm told to stay home and check back in only if I have significant trouble breathing.

Every person, company, or other organization which I'm involved with has send an email stating how they will be operating during the next few weeks/months.

It already feels strange not heading to a restaurant for Friday night dinner!   :016:
