DX 80 Flash VM General Delivery MB
« on: August 02, 2017, 02:04:42 AM »
We installed a VM card (Flash) on a DX80 F32. So far, after not remembering a whole lot, I finally got my brain in gear and the VM is working pretty good. One thing I am having trouble with is the General Delivery MB.

We are using ext 103 as the "GD MB" but I can't remember how to make it answer and go to the MB immediately. I don't want any of the other MBs to ring shorter that 4 rings. In 800 & 801's menu, the caller is given the options to dial 1 (goes to 103) or dial 0 (goes to 103).

Is there a switch (e.g. * or something) ?

I've checked the manual until I'm blue in the face but can't come up with anything.

I think what you want is the call transfer feature in mailbox 103 options (3 on MB Menu) set to "voicemail". the 103 will never ring, all calls except voice announce intercom calls will go directly to 103 MB.
If I understood your question correctly.

OK.  Thanks Mark.  I'll change that today!!  I knew it was going to be something simple. I just couldn't get my head right.

It's been a real trip trying to figure out all of the little procedures from 10/15 years ago.  This is the first VM for a DX80 that I've installed in a long time.

I had a Windows 98 laptop that just finally broke into pieces.  That was my tool for Comdial VM installations 10 years ago.  I'm having to dig up my notes, and books and other paraphernalia for this one job and doing every thing by phone/teleparameters.

Yep.  It worked.  I went into the Transfer Feature of Ext 103 and hit "*" to turn the feature OFF.

Thanks, Mark.
