Favorite Songs & Videos
« on: June 14, 2010, 10:32:02 PM »
We have a new function here on the board that allows us to easily embed YouTube videos in your post, so let's have some fun with it.

Tell us what you're listening to right now, or pick a favorite song or video from your past.  Elaborate on it all you want in your post as to your thoughts or why you like it etc., and then embed the video for all to watch.  Embedding the video on this software is VERY easy. Don't even worry about trying to get the Embed code from the YouTube page.  Just take the URL in your your browser, hightlight it, copy and paste it in your post between two youtube tags like this:

Code: [Select]

I can't get one embedded from work or from home but... for a really amazing vocal check out: Brooks and Dunn, "I Believe."

I currently am very close to losing my grandma to a recent stroke and a terminal condition.  I went searching for something to calm my sole.  This song speaks to me about getting through the loss of someone close.

If someone can add the actual video, I would appreciate it.

This a nice addition to the board.  I'm currently listening to Puscifer.  I saw them live in NYC a few months back.

Punk historian...If you haven't heard of this Band it's a Northeast history buff who plays Punk music. Latest CD is called "The Monitor"...Yep the civil war ironclad ship. He takes historical events and puts them to music..Give a listen to "A More Perfect Union". This is "Richard II" from that CD.

There are but a few good things that come out of Canada that I know of and rock music is one of them.  Sit back, crack open a Molson and enjoy perhaps the most talented bunch I've ever seen:

Granted this guy sings like a rusty hinge, but I love my noisy guitars.  His voice reminds me of Springsteen, although his style is defined on his Wikipedia page as "alternative country".  Not bad for a boy from the Philadelphia suburbs.

Video got a lil’ too trippy for me to watch but loving their sound! Checking out more schtuff from Puscifer now. I likes! Thanks!  :054:

As more and more genre styles keep getting “named” it getting harder and harder to tell one style from another. Alternative Country, Roots Rock, and Americana all kind of blur together for me. It almost all sounds like something Tom Petty would have done earlier in his career and sometimes I think the most significant difference in those styles are the style of shirts band members wear.  :005:

Freakin’ hilarious!!!! …  “This one is wet, and this one is wet. Did you dry these in a rainforest?” …..  “Nooo… I’m Jeff… Alright, I’m Jeff Vader. I am Jeff Vader!”

There needs to be a “not safe for work” tag on that one!  :001:
Thanks,
Bryan
