Topic: Looking for a used laptop

I'm looking for a laptop for my elderly mother.  Large display is preferred, WiFi and a simple OS, like Windows XP or 7 is preferred. It needs to have a decent amount of memory for today's needs, but no need for a CD/DVD drive.  I can't use an Apple since I will have to support this remotely and I don't know anything about Apple.  We tried buying her a Chrome book, but that's not working out.  It's only meant for web surfing and she needs to be able to use resident programs and print.

Bonuses:  MS Office and completely cleaned.

Marc, I saw your post today about your laptop for sale, but I can't spend nearly that much money for something that is much more than she will ever need.  I'm hoping to spend about $250.00 max if that is feasible. 

Does anyone have something for sale or know of a good resource for this?

I dealt with Matt, and have always been treated well though like I said it's been years.  I can't promise they'll treat you right I can just attest to the fact that I've gotten good deals in the past on Thinkpads.
