Moose Z1100
« on: November 17, 2015, 08:40:42 PM »
Has anybody ever worked with a Moose Z1100 burglar.  The company went out of business in the 90's and was bought and sold multiple times.
So the owner of a local business needs to set up alarm system to call Police Dept.  I see no existing cable going to the T1/R1  T/R on the alarm panel.  So I will need to install that with RJ31X.
My questions are really about programming...I have a users manual but I am sure I do not understand the process to input the phone number, much less change Access code.
Is there any that can help?

Ken, I would think that's where you enter the number for the receiver.

Richard, when you say "call the police" are you referring to dialing 911 with a recording or does the
police or dispatch have their own receiver?
It won't do a recorded message, most PD's won't accept them anyway.
You also need to make sure you can access the programming.
Some systems can be locked out so that programming can only be done remotely, if that's the case it's trash.

I would just change the control and keypad and be done with it.
You may have to do something at the EOL of each zone depending on what you use and what's there.
