Call queuing on ACS
« on: August 26, 2015, 10:13:01 AM »
Does the partner ACS, 4, 5 or higher support call queuing?
This one does have a 6 port partner messaging.
This is a Pizza joint and they want it to ring twice and go into que.

I don't think so. The best you may get is a hunt group.

The ASA card might do it

The Merlin Plus 820D2 did it,  it would answer the call,  Play a message then put it on hold.  The user would answer the blinking call on hod.

But from what I understand of the ASA card is it only puts the call on hold and the users has to manually pick up the line, which poses the threat of the calls being picked up out of order and having a longer wait time if not picked up in sequential order. IDK there are some way more experinced ACS techs here than me.

Thanks guys, the customer used the term "call queuing"
I went to his other store to see what he has and it's ASA.
So all I need is the ASA card and I'll be able to fix him up.
