411 listings
« on: October 15, 2014, 10:20:29 PM »
I couldn't find a topic on 411 yet, but I may not be searching properly either, so please merge if need be.

So if a client is with AT&T for example and the listing is called in improperly for their fax number to be listed as their main number, and they port away from AT&T - who updates the 411 listing? AT&T or the new carrier, and what's the process, or database we have to prompt?

411 n00bz
Thanks,

As far as I know it's the current carrier. The only thing that is updated is the status of the line, either it's a published number or non-published. The only number that should be published is the customer's main number. All other numbers should be listed as non-published.

Good stuff, thanks Marc. Somehow the client's fax was published and their owner checked the 411 listing, which is what prompted this. The timing of it stinks, just because they're porting to the other carrier.
Thanks,
