Oddly enough, I think just letting him live will be punishment that fits the crime.

I have to agree with you on that. Can you imagine the smell of human flesh burning?

LOL. Yeah, maybe something like en electrified fence would have helped... Ohh wait, nevermind.

This is yet another example of why you never see any dumb high-wire guys. Not because there haven't been any, but because you'll probably never see them again once they do something dumb.

Although I do like this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrgUZNCkfFI

I would imagine he will die anyway if he hasn't already.
It hasn't been too long since a guy tried to steal copper from the live overhead lines somewhere around Dallas.
When the story broke he was stuck on top of the pole talking to the police, I thought he was ok but he died within a couple of days. A doctor they interviewed said when you get that much juice through your body your internal organs keep cooking. I guess it would be like microwaving your guts while they are still inside you.

There is an old saying......"There is no such thing as an OLD DUMB lineman".

Although I used to work around a lineman whose nickname was "Lightning".....

That was a great U-Tube Kumba.

I have two friends in the nuclear power industry,  one we call canary,  his job is to go into the reactor area and check for radiation levels before any workers go in.  The other is a foreman who goes around the east coast leading a crew that replaces the fuel rods.  We usually call him DumbAss. Both these guys ride in our Motorcycle group.  Dumbass just retired at 45 with full pay until 65 and lifetime health benefits for him and his wife.  Maybe not such a dumbass after all I guess.

I like at the end where he goes "I've only been scared of 3 things in my life: Electricity, Heights, and Women. Ohh, and I'm married too." That cracked me up.

When I was younger I wasn't afraid of any of them, today I'm scared of heights and women.

I would have been better off if I had the sense to be afraid of women when I was younger!
