I just installed a new Nortel (Avaya)  BCM-50.
One of the items I was explaining to the customer was the Personal Speed Dial  (F*4).
I discovered that the codes for this was in the range of 01 - 94.
Surprised me at first, but then maybe I did see that before with the newer software.

But what happened next was very new.
It came up with  NAME:
Never seen that with Personal Speed Dials, but I thought that is a neat new item.
So I put in a Name.  Then I tried using that Speed Dial code.
All it showed was the number dialing.

Has anyone else seen this?    And how do you get the NAME to show.
Unfortunately, I did not have the time to play with it to see if I could get the name to show up.
I will have to test it out on the next one that is coming up in a few weeks.
But if anyone has info on this - let me know.

Thanks.

Only a guess but the names are so you know whom the number is for when your in programming.

I think the speed dials are silly if you cant dial by name.

You might as well do an auto dial, or even just dialing the number is faster than looking for your list, go through the list for the code then entering the feature 0 and code.
